In May 2025, I won a contest where I shared a personal experience with the public — an experience where, during a creative process in a public space, I was humiliated by a man. It left a deep impact on me. When this competition was announced, I immediately submitted a visual piece that carried a strong message, especially directed toward men: being friendly is not an invitation, nor is it a signal for sexual advances. Being friendly is simply a part of being human — of being social.
Big thanks to the organisers who made this possible: Mauerpark, ThinkSi3, and Pankow Parkbetreuung. Also, heartfelt gratitude to the jury members — Lieber zur Kunst, Grün Berlin, and Berlin Pankow — for selecting me as one of the winners.
You can now see this artwork displayed at Mauerpark in Berlin.
